PROVIDENCE, R.I. — When it opened here a couple of months ago, the high-tech car service Uber made the announcement in breathless fashion.
“We’ve gotta hand it to you, Providence,” the company’s blog said. “We were pretty smitten at first, but now that we’ve arrived, we’ve fallen even harder.”
Some of that love may be wearing off already.
