GPS Insight Gives Clients Freedom To Customize Vehicle Categories

Posted on July 18, 2012

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — GPS tracking solutions provider GPS Insight has included a new feature for clients that will allow them to apply their own custom categories and attributes to their fleet vehicles. GPS Insight claims this is the first of its kind in the GPS fleet tracking industry.

Clients using GPS Insight’s fleet tracking software will be able to define and apply specific business data to vehicles, equipment, drivers, landmarks, users and hierarchy nodes within the system. An example would be a company using the feature to assign training certifications to drivers who use specific equipment, such as motorcoaches.

Custom data fields and values also will be applicable to trips and stops, which helps clients bill more effectively and determine tax on personal vehicle usage.

GPS Insight is a supplier of reliable GPS tracking, navigation, and messaging technology for fleet-based customers. It uses high-quality GPS hardware and adds the technology, customization and enhancements which fleet-based companies demand. GPS Insight provides a wide range of customized reports, alerts, and other features that can be tailored to meet specific customer requirements to ensure maximum return on investment.
