New Technology Eliminates Odor And Germs From Your Limousine

Posted on February 6, 2012

RENO, Nev. – One of the most common chauffeured-client requests is for vehicles to arrive odor-free. Nothing’s worse than having to ride in a car that smells like smoke, overwhelming cologne or perfume, or body odor, except maybe having paid  a premium price for it. Operators can prohibit smoking in their vehicles but may find it hard to prevent smoking in their party buses or other retail rentals. It’s also difficult to control the amount of cologne or perfume clients choose to wear, or if they bring body odor onboard that might offend others in the group. Reno, Nev.-based SPi North America brings a solution to the table that not only eliminates odor but destroys bacteria, viruses, allergens, mold mildew and particulate matter less than 0.3 microns.

The SPi (Super Plasma ion) electric cabin air filtration system is the size of a deck of playing cards and can be easily installed in any vehicle by a service technician. The device has no moving parts, is built upon Samsung technology and is backed by a 10 year warranty. The technology already comes standard in the BMW 7-series and Hyundai Genesis luxury sedans.

While previous air-purifying technology filters the air and traps pollutants such as carbon monoxide, hydrocarbon and nitrogen oxide, it does nothing to stop germs from circulating inside the vehicle cabin. The SPi system's filter-less design converts particulate matter into harmless water vapor and releases active hydrogen and oxygen ions into the air to inhibit infection by airborne viruses and destroy airborne bacteria, fungi, and allergens.

  Conventional Filtration system SPi Technology
Mechanism & Technology Filtration system draws air contaminants in, traps them, and emits cleaned air supply. Filters have no function to eliminate or neutralize toxic gases, mold, mildew, fungi, allergens and viruses. Emits plasma ions into the air which neutralizes toxic gases, cigarette smoke, mold, mildew, allergens, fungi, germs, pet dander, flu viruses, and other microorganisms.
Maintenance Filters need to be replaced. No filters to change and comes with a 10-year warranty.

The product is certified by the California Air Resource Board for meeting the applicable emission concentration standards for indoor air purification devices. It can be purchased now through SPi North America, the master distributor for the technology in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
