Tech Giant To Display Cost-Saving Equipment

TORRANCE, Calif. — Robert Turner of Fujitsu Computer Products of America says that the usual question he’s asked when entering a new market is: Why are you guys here?

“And then after we tell our story, that turns into, ‘Oh wow, I think you can really help us out,’” Turner told LCT. He will be at the 2012 International LCT Show in Las Vegas in February to exhibit Fujitsu’s ScanSnap series of scanners and educate operators on the benefits the products bring to their business.

Specifically, operators will see the ScanSnap N1800 Network Scanner, which Turner has programmed with job functions that are specific to chauffeured transportation operations. “I’ll have examples on there of how to deal with documents such as new driver onboarding, maintenance records, and with those one-touch buttons, it can eliminate a lot of the manual process of scanning,” he said.

Turner’s goal for the Show is to initiate dialogue with the industry, meet a lot of operators, and help them find solutions to their specific business needs.

In a feature for the November 2011 issue of LCT, Turner said that “most companies benefit from scanning as it streamlines business processes, gets rid of the mountains of paper they deal with…and allows them to store critical business documents so that they are safeguarded.”

Fujitsu will not be selling any of the scanners on the Show Floor but does work with every major IT reseller, including but not limited to: Amazon, CDW, Dell, Buy.com and Newegg.com.
