Create-A-Card Launches Personalized Smartphone Reservation App

Posted on December 5, 2011

ST. JAMES, N.Y. – Humans are natural tool builders, notorious for creating and adopting advancements that make life’s tasks more convenient: the wheel, the television remote, the computer, the Internet, and now, the smartphone. As smartphone use grows and shows no sign of stopping, it only makes sense for businesses to establish a presence on this technological frontier.

Limousine and chauffeured transportation service operators who wanted to be on the cutting edge of this trend by creating reservation apps for clients to use via their smartphones previously had a limited number of options. They could choose from among the third-party apps provided by, GroundLink and Uber, or they could create their own proprietary reservation application. Choosing the former meant relinquishing some control and paying commission to the software company, and choosing the latter could mean heavy capital and temporal investment.

Now operators have a new choice: The Limousine App, an easily personalized and branded reservation app that works on both iOS (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch) and Android operating systems. The Limousine App was developed by Brand New App, Inc. and is being offered to the industry through Create-A-Card Inc.

The Limousine App removes the hassle of having navigating the nuances involved with creating a proprietary app while still allowing operators to completely own it and match it to their company’s brand and personality. It can also integrate into an operation’s back office systems.

The first operator to roll out his own personalized Limousine App is William Rondo of Boston-based Superior Global Travel & Concierge. Rondo told LCT that the app will allow him to streamline the reservation process and offer his services to a wider client base. [Make sure to check the January 2012 issue of LCT for an exclusive feature on Rondo and Superior Global Travel & Concierge].

The Limousine App allows clients to:

  • Book reservations
  • Locate closest airports
  • View, modify and cancel reservations
  • Book return trips
  • Request vehicle to stand by
  • Inform dispatcher that they will be running late for pickup
  • Inform dispatcher they are ready for pickup

  • Personalized iPhone app (also compatible with iPad and iPod Touch): $3,000
  • Personalized Android app: $3,000
  • Personalized iPhone + Android: $3,500
