TECHNOLOGY FOR A GREEN DAY: Pinpoint Pickup’s free smartphone app offers instant Town Car bookings.

BOSTON -- St. Patrick’s Day revelers planning to celebrate throughout the Boston metro area Thursday can be reassured they will get home safely thanks to a free new smartphone application introduced by PINPOINT PICKUP, LLC, that allows them to get a quote and book a Lincoln Town Car within minutes.

Seattle-based Pinpoint Pickup, LLC, launched in 2009, offers mobile web technology that makes booking a Town Car simple and convenient. The “Ride in Style” service was recently unveiled in Boston, and will be rolled out this month in New Orleans, Dallas and San Diego in response to consumer demand.

The Ride in Style app lets clients request a sedan ride quickly: they click on the “Ride in Style” icon, communicate where they are, when they need to leave, and where they are going. They then receive reservation details with a cost quote and confirm their ride(s). Pinpoint Pickup quickly connects riders with a nearby sedan and confirms both the rate and pick-up time. Rides can arrive in as little as an hour, or people who plan before they party can book weeks in advance.

The most recent version of the iPhone app allows clients to choose destinations by pulling addresses right from their contact lists.

“Not only can your phone tell us where you are if you’re a bit tipsy and want to be picked up from your current location,” said PINPOINT PICKUP co-owner Desiree Phair, “now you can tell us where you want to head without having to remember an address.”

“Our surging client base values our services for efficient business travel to airports or for celebrating a special evening out,” Phair said. “With our growing list of metro areas served now including Boston, we want to also spread the safety message to reinforce the role Pinpoint Pickup’s ‘Ride In Style’ service plays in combating drunken driving. St. Patrick’s Day is an ideal holiday to showcase our strong commitment to safety. With the free technology offering anyone the ability to book a ride right from their iPhone wherever they are, we hope to help contribute to a reduction in impaired driving.”

Operators can find information on how to join Pinpoint Pickup’s network by visiting its OPERATOR PAGE.

Clients can download the RIDE IN STYLE iPhone app to request a car from anywhere, as well as book the service just as seamlessly online at PinpointPickup.com.
