TECHNOLOGY FOR A BUSY DAY: GroundLink launches new ASAP service app, just in time for Austin’s South by Southwest Interactive Festival.
NEW YORK – GROUNDLINK, a travel-technology company that aggregates, manages and executes limousine, taxi, shuttle, car-rental and public transportation services worldwide, said recently that it will be officially rolling out the second city to use its ASAP SERVICE
— Austin, Texas. The GroundLink iPhone app already has been released in New York for New Yorkers to use the service daily to commute.
The app allows clients to book car service directly from their iPhones and track the chauffeur’s route on the way to pick them up. Other options include booking future rides, seeing the total before the trip takes place, and sharing the details of the ride with friends and colleagues.

"To make the most of this opportunity and to give everyone coming to [the South by Southwest Interactive Festival] the chance to use the app, we decided to offer $10 for ASAP rides anywhere in Austin including the airport.”
The promotion will be available to anyone using the iPhone app this week through Thursday. After that, cars will still be available at regular prices. GroundLink also will be offering other giveaways and specials to those attending the SOUTH BY SOUTHWEST FESTIVAL. They will be exhibiting as well at booth 437.
