London Towncars is using a biodegradable motor oil made from renewable resources in all of its vehicles.

NEW YORK -- LONDON TOWNCARS is switching its fleet of luxury sedans, SUVs, and executive vans to biodegradable G-Oil made from bio-based renewable resources, becoming the first limousine company in the U.S. to use the new 5W30 G-Oil Bio-Based Full Synthetic Motor Oil.

Steve Spencer, president of London Towncars said, “Corporations considering our company for assignments will ask about our green initiatives. It is important for them to reassure their customers that they are pursuing practices for a greener environment.”

LONDON TOWNCARS, founded in 1959, has a fleet of 60 vehicles in the New York City and Tri-State region.

London Towncars has initiated additional environmental initiatives including the purchase of hybrid vehicles such as the hybrid Ford Fusion with a six-inch stretched rear compartment built by Royale and a Mercedes S-Class hybrid. The company also has achieved energy efficiency savings in lighting with a switch from fluorescent bulbs to CFL bulbs at headquarters.

“We will make additional changes to conserve gas and other finite resources used by our company,” Spencer said.

G-Oil is made by GREEN EARTH TECHNOLOGIES INC. (OTCQB: GETG) and bulk distribution is available through GREEN PLANET PRODUCTS. GETG products are 100% Ultimate Biodegradable which is the highest biodegradability ranking determined by ATSM Standards (2.1 ASTM D-5864). G-Oil’s manufacturing process uses less energy than the process for fossil fuel based motor oils, thereby resulting in reduced emissions and reducing the carbon footprint.

Lee Bowden, president of Green Planet Products heralded the move by the company. “London Towncars is leading the way for other chauffeured limousine companies to adopt new technology to preserve our environment and reduce our dependence fossil fuels.”
