Hockey-puck-style roof satellite antennas enable motorcoaches to communicate via cell phone service.
SAVANNAH, Ga. — Swept Away Trailways, a Savannah-based motorcoach charter company, demonstrated a new GPS tracking system for its buses on Wednesday.
The units are being installed as part of a security grant from the Department of Homeland Security and will be used to keep track of Trailways buses nationwide.
The company said the system is unique in that it is accessible on the Internet, enabling them to track the motorcoaches position.
