Any online buyer of concert or special events tickets will get the instant option to book a chauffeured vehicle through Limos.com.
SAN FRANCISCO — LIMOS.COM, the top online referral builder for chauffeured transportation companies, recently formed a marketing arrangement with LiveNation.com to promote and sell chauffeured services to concert and special events attendees nationwide.
The unprecedented ticket-limo marketing deal leverages the heavy traffic on the LIVENATION.COM powerhouse, which recently merged with TICKETMASTER.COM and TICKETSNOW.COM. Visitors buying tickets on all three sites will get instant access to booking a limousine or chauffeured vehicle through Limos.com.
Financial terms of the commercial arrangement closed in mid-July remain confidential.
The masterful marketing move puts the limo option in front of ticket buyers just when they in the mood to spend. In the process, it brings more business to operators while creating potential customers previously unaware of the limo option in enjoying a night out to a concert or a special event.
“We’re trying to grow the market of people who would use a limousine by putting them right there when they have bought tickets and have credit cards in their hands,” said Doug Anderson, vice president of Limos.com. “Why not promote right there in front of them? This makes it easier to book a limo. We hope to bring a competitive, market advantage to our limo clients. Those are the kind of customers you want.”
Through its geo-targeting feature, LIMOS.COM can connect ticket buyers directly to Limos.com client-operators within a certain radius of a venue. That makes it possible for those operators to advertise and promote concert limo packages for specific events.
Ticket buyers booking a vehicle can either reserve through a one-click order via selected local operators, or use the Limos.com standard “eBay” model that allows multiple operators to respond to a customer’s online request for service.
Although Limos.com cannot disclose online reservation and traffic numbers, Anderson reported that limousine reservations through the three sites so far have been “unbelievable, beyond expectations.”
By creating immediate awareness of chauffeured vehicles, “we’re getting the platform in front of people right now while they’re online and engaged,” Anderson said. For operators, “this can be a good source for lifetime customers in your market area.”
