Pow Wow Smart Receives New Technology Patent

Posted on June 3, 2014

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Pow Wow Smart has announced the recent approval of its second patent related to its event management technology and grouping solutions. The US Patent and Trademark Office issued US Patent No. 8,744,882 to cover the company’s unique approach to bulk flight validation and staff allocation.  Pow Wow Smart’s first patent was on the sophisticated approach the technology takes to group attendees into cost-effective combination of vehicles. The system takes terminal information, VIP status, vehicle capacity, and wait times into account to allow meeting planners to search for cost savings and create multiple cost scenarios. By validating flight information as soon as the manifest is loaded, Pow Wow Smart helps to eliminate costly errors very early in the process.

The system pulls in arrival times as well as gate and baggage claim information as soon as it is available. Pow Wow Smart has also added a flight look-up functionality, so that clients can search for correct flight information without leaving the Pow Wow Smart platform.

Evan Michaels, CEO of Pow Wow Smart, said of the news, “We are excited to see the US Patent Office has recognized our hard work and investment into Pow Wow Smart over the past four years. Our team has worked tirelessly to create and develop the most powerful and sophisticated event management solutions in the meetings space.”
