COSTA MESA, Calif. -- The Greater California Livery Association is just weeks away from throwing a major industry expo, trade show and industry meeting that has gained national prominence since its successful debut last year.

The GCLA Expo & Trade Show on Wednesday, Sept. 19 will feature the most chauffeured vehicles and buses on display outside of a major industry trade show, offering operators in California and beyond a unique opportunity to sample vehicles and make key fleet buying decisions. As of today, 35 vehicles are scheduled for display.

The event, to be branded with a Hollywood-style red carpet that winds among the many vehicles, will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Promenade Event Centre and Gardens, 1570 Scenic Ave. in Cost Mesa. It will draw limousine industry vendors, operators and high-profile industry executives from around the nation for an evening of networking, dining, and dealing.

A highlight will be keynote presentations from two key figures in the California travel and tourism industry: Traci Ward, director of marketing at Visit California, and John Severini, CEO of the California Travel Association. Both organizations plan to work more closely with the GCLA to advocate on behalf of common goals and policies that affect limousine operators. Ward and Severini will speak about business opportunities for operators through the hospitality sector and how their groups are helping protect the business interests of operators.
