Chauffeur Attacked By Drunk Passenger, Files Lawsuit

Posted on August 9, 2012

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. — A limousine chauffeur from St. Charles, Ill.-based Keen Limousine has filed a lawsuit claiming he was repeatedly punched in the head by an irate and “extremely intoxicated” passenger while driving on I-88 at highway speeds.

The chauffeur, Richard Sutich of Elburn, Ill., says the October 8, 2011 attack left him with long-term hearing and neurological damage, according to the complaint filed in DuPage County court against David Bode.

The attack happened after Sutich picked up Bode and Bode’s girlfriend from a Chicago Blackhawks hockey game at the United Center. The report says Bode incorrectly accused Sutich of going the wrong direction and then started throwing punches.
