Insurance Wholesaler Offers New Limousine Program

Posted on August 31, 2011

GLENDALE, Calif. — KF&B, Inc., California’s oldest continuously operating insurance wholesaler, is offering a new auto liability program for limousines of up to $1.5 million in liability limits.

The program is being offered in partnership with the AmTrust Group of insurance carriers, and is designed for limousine operators, sightseeing and tour operators, and airport, hotel and employee shuttles. The program also can accommodate large taxi risks. The program offers up to $1.5 million in liability limits and is available in all states except Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Hawaii.

Coverages Offered

  • Commercial auto liability
  • Physical damage, including collision, comprehensive or fire, theft and combined additional coverage
  • General liability
  • Optional physical damage coverages: rental reimbursement, audio visual and data equipment

Marni Sawicki, vice president of marketing for KF&B, said the company qualifies operators based on a number of factors: age of unit(s), previous loss history, MVRs, etc. “We work through retail agents so [the operator’s] agent would be able to put together a submission and send it over to us for a quote,” she said.

AmTrust has built a reputation as an innovative, technology-driven insurance company and owns an “A” (Excellent) Financial Size IX rating from A.M. Best.

Mike Howery, executive vice president at KF&B, Inc., said “The new partnership allows us to offer expanded coverage’s virtually anywhere for any size risk, and provides greater flexibility in our pricing structure.”

KF&B, INC. was formed in 1993 and specializes in public auto business across the U.S. with comprehensive insurance solutions for charter bus, taxi, limousines and workers’ compensation. KF&B has maintained a flawless record as a licensed insurance broker and surplus lines agent. The home office is located in Glendale with a branch office in Orlando, Fla.
