Los Angeles Government Divided On LAX Access: The odds that Uber and Lyft will soon be fully operational at Los Angeles International Airport appear to be increasing, despite some political hesitation at City Hall and calls for tighter screening of the ride-hailing services’ drivers. Another Driver Sues Uber Over Unpaid Wages: A California man who drives for Uber has sued the company in federal court, claiming he’s owed unpaid wages under the federal Fair Labor Standards Act. The suit follows a separate case in which drivers contend they should be classified as employees entitled to reimbursement of expenses. PCWorld.com article here

Florida County Loosens TNC Rules: At the last minute, a majority of commissioners decided to ignore all those concerns and move forward with a new proposal that would allow taxis, Uber, and limo companies to police themselves and do their own background checks. WPTV.com article here

Connecticut Judge Tosses TNC Lawsuit: A federal judge in Connecticut has dismissed a lawsuit filed by local taxi and limousine companies aimed to stop an upstart ride-booking company that customers hire through a smartphone app. Connecticut Law Tribune article here

Uber Cutting Fares In Hartford: The move is similar to fare cuts in almost 50 cities in January, with the company saying it wants to attract new riders and also encourage existing ones to book more trips. Hartford Courant article here
