Michigan Case Highlights Party Bus Safety Issues

Posted on March 2, 2011 by LCT Staff - Also by this author - About the author

With limo bus client deaths in Michigan and California fueling possible legislation, chauffeured transportation operators are concerned about how their liabilities could be redefined for running limo buses.

MID-MICHIGAN — A state police investigation is underway involving a party bus accident that killed a Davison man last month. The case raises some safety questions for consumers.

An inspection found the bus, owned by Country Club Limousine, to be mechanically sound. The company won't comment on the case.

But the operator of another local bus company says changes should be made to make party buses safer.
