Three meetings in the NYC area next week will allow operators to understand the new marking for licensed for-hire vehicles and new procedures for applications and vehicle inspections.

NEW YORK — The Livery Round Table and the New York Taxi and Limousine Commission are hosting three forums next week geared to bring luxury limousine, black car, and community car operators up to speed on some recent changes to rules and procedures.

The NYTLC asked the Livery Round Table, an association aimed at organizing New York City community car service providers, to host the industry meetings.

Operators will have the opportunity to learn about new markings that help passengers identify licensed for hire vehicles within the jurisdiction of the NYTLC. TLC staff members at the forums also will discuss changes to submitting a vehicle application and requesting an inspection appointment. They also will explain common reasons why some for-hire vehicles fail TLC inspections.

The forums are as follows:

• Monday, Sept. 13, 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., Lincoln Hospital, 234 East 149th Street, Bronx (Morris Avenue Entrance), Main Auditorium – J. Cesar Galarce.

• Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., Coney Island Hospital, 2601 Ocean Parkway, Brooklyn (at South Entrance on Shore Parkway), Kane Auditorium, Second Floor.

• Friday, Sept. 17, 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., Elmhurst Library - 100-01 Northern Blvd., East Elmhurst, Queens.
