ROCKVILLE, Md.— Jeff Shanker has been named the new general manager of RMA Worldwide Chauffeured Transportation. Shanker, who spent 14 years with A-1 Limousine, Princeton, N.J., most recently as executive vice president, was also the President of the Limousine Association of New Jersey (LANJ) before resigning this month when he accepted the new position.

Shanker announced his move during the International LCT Show in Las Vegas, Feb. 29 to March 2.

Robert Alexander, owner and President of RMA Worldwide Chauffeured Transportation, said, “The move was at the right time for our growing company.  With Jeff’s vast knowledge of industry trends and operations, he’s a perfect fit for our company. His expertise will help elevate us to grow and expand our company in many aspects to better service our operations, fleet, clients and global affiliates.  We are excited and fortunate to be able to bring Jeff onto our team.”

Shanker held numerous posts at A-1 throughout his career, including vice president, assistant vice president for risk management & special projects, and director of safety and insurance. He also worked as a police officer at The College of New Jersey and as an EMT for seven years.

Said Shanker: “Robert and the entire RMA team are an energetic, motivated, passionate group that strives on excellence and client satisfaction. I’m thrilled with the opportunity to bring my diverse, encompassing industry knowledge to such an esteemed organization. Robert’s energy flows through the office and every team member has welcomed me with opened arms.”

Industry veteran Jason Sharenow, COO of Broadway Elite Chauffeured Services Worldwide (East Hanover, N.J.), assumed the office of president of LANJ following the resignation of Shanker. LCT ARTICLE HERE
