NLA Releases 2016-19 Board Election Results

MARLTON, N.J. —  Results of this year’s NLA Board of Directors elections, the first done through electronic voting, were announced Jan. 21, with six NLA operator members being elected to 2016-2019 terms.

Those re-elected and new board members include:

Incumbents Forgy, NLA President from 2010-2013, and Ironi will be serving their third consecutive three-year terms on the NLA board.

This is the second consecutive three-year term for Illingworth and Oldenburg. The 2016-2019 NLA term of office will be the first for Kaplan and Chaudhry.

“On behalf of the entire membership, we want to thank each candidate for their willingness to serve this association and its members,” said NLA President Gary Buffo, who has held the post since 2013.

The NLA Board of Directors has 18 members who serve staggered three-year terms, with six seats coming up for election every year. Two additional vendor board directors from Ford/Lincoln Limousine & Livery Vehicles and Cadillac Professional Vehicles are appointed annually and do not vote on board agenda matters.

New Board members will formally take their board seats on Sunday, Feb. 28, 2016 just before the start of the International LCT Show at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, Feb. 29-March 2. The NLA board also will elect its slate of 2016-17 officers.

The NLA, based in Marlton, N.J., has 2,067 members worldwide as of Jan. 22.
