DEARBORN, Mich. -- Gerry Koss, fleet marketing manager for Ford, announced this week he will retire on Oct. 31 after a 32-year career with the automaker. Koss has been in his present assignment for Ford’s North American Fleet Remarketing & Leasing Operations (NAFLRO) division since 2001. Ford stated that Koss has been instrumental in the overall growth in Ford’s fleet volume and market share.
In the chauffeured transportation industry, Koss since 2010 has served a leading role in the promotion of the Lincoln MKT Town Car as the successor to the Lincoln Town Car Execuive L. Koss attended all International LCT Shows and most LCT conferences where he and members of the Lincoln Limousine & Livery Vehicles team explained details of the new Town Car and answered questions from limousine operators.
Koss' highest profile industry moment came on Sept. 29, 2010 when he stood before attendees during the 2010 LCT Leadership Summit at the Fairmont Hotel in Chicago and formally announced the Lincoln MKT Town Car to the national limousine industry. That presentation was followed several months later by another industry historical milestone on Feb. 14, 2011 when he hosted the formal unveiling of the first Lincoln MKT Town Car and a prototype stretch version at the opening of the 2011 International LCT Show at the Paris Las Vegas.
