Limo Digest/MTG Exec Resigns, Starts New Company

Posted on September 26, 2012

MEDFORD, N.J. — Eric Alpert, former owner/president of Modern Technologies Group (MTG), Limousine Digest and the Limo Digest Show, resigned those positions on Sept. 8, according to an announcement prepared by Alpert.

Alpert resigned MTG and related companies after 22 years of business ownership and executive leadership. The announcement confirms reports from industry sources over the last several weeks that Alpert had left the companies.

“It became evident during the past several months that it was time for a professional change,” said Alpert in a prepared statement. “I’d like to thank all of my previous employees for their hard work and dedication over the years. Without them, we would not have experienced the success that we enjoyed. I wish them all the best during this transition and in their future endeavors.”

Alpert said he has started Premier Products, Inc., a new parts manufacturing company. He plans to focus his new operation on seating and HVAC products for the limousine, bus and van industries. Additional products will be announced in the near future.

Premier Products is headquartered in New Jersey and will maintain manufacturing and distribution facilities in Elkhart, Ind.

“To the many colleagues and friends in the industry, thank you for your unwavering support during this transition,” Alpert said in the statement, exclusive to LCT. “To the many customers that I’ve enjoyed working with and serving throughout the years, I look forward to a continued business relationship by providing the same high quality and innovative products you’ve come to expect from me.”
