WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- Apollo Transportation Services may be based in Boca Raton, but its president, Rebekah Urbina, already has wheels rolling around the globe. She and her husband Mauricio (vice president of operations) had been investing in many things, including a fleet of taxis in South America, but always had one eye out for the next opportunity.

“We are highly motivated corporate people and, like many others, we wanted more,” explains Urbina. “We began working with an amazing South Florida business broker who matched us up with Apollo — the backbone limousine company of Palm Beach County since 1988. It fit our experience perfectly and we felt comfortable plunging in so, in the spring of 2007, we took over.”

Right off the bat, there were challenges because, when the previous owner retired, he left them everything they needed — in a manner of speaking.
