NLA Attracts Most Candidates In Years For 2015 Board Elections

MARLTON, N.J. — The slate of candidates for the 2015 National Limousine Association (NLA) Board of Directors election was released Dec. 5, with 21 applications for seven open seats received by the Nov. 21 nominations deadline.

Those board positions include two open seats for At-Large and two for Southeast Region, and one seat for each of the following regions: Central, Northeast and West. Information on all candidates and their reasons for running for the NLA Board have been posted on this first-ever online candidate grid.

"It is really great to see how many industry business owners and officers see the importance of being involved in this prestigious association,” said two-term NLA President Gary Buffo, who has led the NLA since February 2013.

Candidates for the two At-Large seats are: Joel Amato, Gateway Global of San Francisco; Jeff Greene, Greene Classic Limousines Worldwide Transportation of Atlanta; Bruce Heinrich, LEADER Worldwide Chauffeur Services of Kansas City, Mo.; and Ron Stein, Exclusive Sedan Service of North Hollywood, Calif.

Candidates for the two Southeast seats are: Robert Alexander, RMA Worldwide Chauffeured Transportation, Rockville, Md.; Laura Canady, CLT Express of Charlotte, N.C.; David Glazier, Fleet Transportation of Alexandria, Va.,; Carl Haley, Jr., Grand Avenue Limousine of Nashville, Tenn.; Andy Thompson, Rose Chauffeured Transportation of Charlotte, N.C.; Scott Tinkler, Aventura Worldwide Transportation of Miami; and Rick Versace, A1A Airport & Limousine Service of Boca Raton, Fla.

Candidates for the one Central seat are: Matt Assolin, Nikko’s Worldwide Chauffeured Services of Houston; Mary Harrell-Paul, Crown Chauffeured Transportation of Chicago; Charlie Murray, Total Luxury Limousine of Minneapolis, Minn.; Eileen Pickus, People Express Worldwide Transportation Services of Solon, Ohio; and Steve Qua, Company Car and Limousine of Cleveland, Ohio.

Candidates for the one Northeast seat are: Michael Campbell, Grace Limousine of Manchester, N.H., Jon Epstein, Royal Coachman Worldwide of Denville, N.J.; and James MacGilvray, Partners Executive Transportation of Whitestone, N.Y.

Candidates for the one West seat are: Maurice Brewster, Mosaic Global Transportation of San Francisco, and Christopher Quinn, Corporate Transportation Solutions of Sacramento, Calif.

Ballots will be mailed to all NLA members soon with a return deadline of Jan. 23, 2015 to be returned to the accounting firm for tallying. Ballots received after the deadline will not be counted.

“Wherever the election lands, I am very thankful for the support of the National Limousine Association. It is because of all of us that this association exists,” Buffo said.
