NEW MEDIA MOVE: Lincoln dealer David Bastian has started a weekly industry conversation on Blog Talk Radio.
ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — The chauffeured transportation industry can add another voice to its media mix, which highlights once again the abundant opportunities businesspeople can tap to market and get heard.
David Bastian, commercial sales manager of TOWNE LIVERY in Orchard Park, N.Y., launched a weekly half-hour program on BLOGTALKRADIO.COM on March 16 called “The Limo Show.” It airs each Thursday at 8:30 p.m. EDT.

Bastian conducts the show via his computer and Skype. He uses an on-screen switchboard to handle callers, commercials, and sound effects. “My goal is to make the program interesting by making it about the industry and not about me,” Bastian told LCT. “I want to talk about things that are interesting.”
All weekly programs are available through archives, and the program can be linked to Facebook and Twitter alerts for interested listeners.
As of today, Bastian has 524 archived listeners. So far, the show draws live listeners in the single digits, but then it’s new and not fully promoted. Here is the “ratings” breakdown so far:
