Jeff Roberts, a regular attendee at LCT industry events, scores a feature profile of his 19-year Atlantic City limousine company in his hometown newspaper.
EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP, N.J. — Jeff Roberts calls limousines “the last bastion of civility and couth.”
Roberts started AVALON LIMOUSINE SERVICE in 1992 with one car, and grew it into a fleet of 34 vehicles and nearly 60 drivers, taking customers to casinos, airports, proms, weddings and nights on the town in a style to which they would like to become accustomed.
The name notwithstanding, Avalon Limousine is headquartered in Egg Harbor Township, which sometimes confuses first-time clients, Roberts said.
A native of Atlantic City, Roberts, 57, grew up at naval bases across the country. As a young man, he lived in the San Diego area, surfing and driving limousines as a part-time job.
