Who's New At The ABA Helm?

The ABA holds the annual shuffle of its board of directors during its major industry convention.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The AMERICAN BUS ASSOCIATION elected its new board of directors during the 2011 American Bus Marketplace, while thanking departing board members for their service and re-electing incumbent board members.

ABA thanked departing board members: Bill Brannan of Northwestern Stage Lines; Don Ferrone of American Sightseeing Tours-Chicago; William Hughes of Southeastern Stages; Peter Hunter of Hunter Motor Coach; Frank Montgomery, III, CTIS, (In Memoriam, 1969-2010), of Capital Motor Lines; C.W. Newman of Express Transportation; and Tom Sorrells of Motor Coach Industries.

Marketplace 2011 Chairman John Percy of Niagara Tourism and Convention Corporation was elected to serve on the Board; and Bert Askwith of Campus Coach Lines was named an honorary Director for his lifelong industry service.

ABA delegates also re-elected for additional terms Butch Beckwith, CTIS, of Turner Coaches; Eugene Berardi, Jr. of Adirondack Trailways; Gaetan Bolduc of Prevost Car; Dane Cornell of ABC Companies; David Eaton of Conway Tours/Gray Line of Rhode Island; Frank Henry of Frank Martz Coach Company/Martz Trailways; Dave Leach of Greyhound Lines; Rick Manna of ZF Services North America; John Meier of Badger Coaches; Dale Moser of Coach USA; Peter Pantuso, CTIS, of ABA; Greg Shipley, CTIS, of Academic Travel Services; Ross Summers of the Branson Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce & CVB; Buddy Young of Capitol Bus Lines; and Charles Zelle of Jefferson Lines.

Delegates also recognized Steve Haddad of Bieber Transportation Group as ABA’s next Marketplace Chairman for Grapevine 2012.
