SUMMARY: G&G Executive Transportation Inc. expands to a 36-vehicle fleet as it prepares to meet growing demand for motorcoach service in 2012.

DALLAS — Joseph Giras is one operator who has managed to defy the economic trend lines of recent years as he adds stretch limousines and party buses to his fleet while planning the purchase of five big buses.

G&G EXECUTIVE TRANSPORTATION, INC. just bought four new stretch limousines from Executive Coach Builders and three limo buses from Tiffany and Westwind. The purchase includes two ECB “Icon”10-passenger stretch sedan limousines, two 200-inch ECB Cadillac Escalades, two 32-passenger Tiffany limo buses, and one Westwind limo bus, Giras said.

The purchase comes on the heels of buying five ECB stretch limousines before spring prom season to replace Krystal stretches, Giras said.

In response to growing demand for motorcoach buses, G&G is planning the eventual acquisition of five new 56-passenger motorcoaches so it can start a charter bus division by January 2012 that will have its own phone numbers and staffing, Giras said. He has not selected a bus model yet, but said he leans toward MCI.

“We kept having increased demand for motorcoaches and we’d been outsourcing it,” Giras told LCT. “We are at the point where it would be more cost-effective and profitable if we had our own motorcoaches. If you look at the numbers month after month and you realize you could be making a profit with a motorcoach, then it’s logical to go ahead and buy one.”

In January 2010, G&G also launched a dedicated department to corporate travel and convention services. "The launch was difficult but a success," Giras said in a statement. "We added five Lincoln Town Cars and eight full-time chauffeurs to prepare for this event. The results were phenomenal."

G&G EXECUTIVE TRANSPORTATION, INC., founded in 2000, $2.2 million in revenues in 2009 and is projected to get about $4 million-plus this year, Giras said. The company has 26 employees.

“During the last year and a half we’ve expanded drastically and made sure we’re not losing any clients and that we are not giving up an opportunity to make a new client,” Giras told LCT. “We have extremely dedicated team members.”
