LOS ANGELES — Sidelined from chauffeuring due to a medical condition, David Mayerhofer has taken his hobby of web designing and turned it in to a new career to remain active in the industry while providing a service for consumers, chauffeurs, and operators.
Mayerhofer spent nine years in the business working for various limousine companies, concluding with the Los Angeles office of Empire/CLS where he was recognized as Chauffeur of the Year for the region.
After contracting hepatitis, driving was no longer an option, so he began developing web sites for industry related businesses, including Matt Harrison’s Goodwill Guy Consulting.
At the same time, Mayerhofer began building All Things Limousine after realizing that chauffeurs and consumers alike needed a place to visit for information in a non-selling environment. This information only site sells nothing, costs nothing to use, and fills a niche that trade magazines don't reach.
The site contains consumer tips on selecting a limousine service for airport service or prom and advice for chauffeurs on how to deliver world-class airport service to their clients. For operators, there are also features on how to hire and maintain chauffeurs for operators.
