Freakonomics series co-author Stephen J. Dubner will keynote the 2015 International LCT Show in Las Vegas.
LAS VEGAS, Nev. — Stephen J. Dubner, the award-winning author, journalist, and radio and TV personality best-known as co-author of the books Freakonomics, SuperFreakonomics, and Think Like a Freak, will be the keynote speaker for the 2015 International LCT Show.
LCT and the National Limousine Association, co-producers of the Show, this week made arrangements for the presentation.
Dubner will open the three-day event -- the largest global limousine tradeshow in the world -- on Sunday, March 16 at the Venetian-Palazzo Resort Hotel Casinos in Las Vegas.
The Freakonomics book series has sold more than seven million copies in more than 40 countries. Dubner also hosts the Freakonomics Radio podcast, which gets five million downloads a month.
Freakonomics, published in 2005, was an instant international best-seller and cultural phenomenon. Hailed by critics and readers alike, it still appears regularly on The New York Times bestseller list. SuperFreakonomics followed in 2009, to similar acclaim, and in 2010 a documentary film version of Freakonomics was chosen as the closing film of the Tribeca Film Festival.
The third book in the Freak trilogy, Think Like a Freak, was published in 2014 and immediately took up a long residency near the top of international best-seller lists.
Dubner also maintains the popular Freakonomics blog
, which has been called “the most readable economics blog in the universe.” Recent posts include: “Why Do People Keep Having Children? Should The U.S. Merge With Mexico? What Can Vampires Teach Us About Economics? How Can Tiny Norway Afford To Buy So Many Teslas?"
The Keynote Address is being sponsored by Grech Motors
, a builder of premium luxury mini-buses and shuttle buses for the chauffeured transportation industry and a strong supporter of the NLA.
