Jon Chester, 57, president of the Greater California Livery Association and owner of Limousines by Linda in San Diego, died after a long battle with cancer.
A San Diego native, he was the father of two children.
Chester was a practicing attorney with an Ivy League education (University of Pennsylvania) who entered the limousine industry in 1990.
Limousines by Linda evolved into a 25-vehicle fleet operation with nearly $3million in annual sales.
Chester, who also was active in the Taxicab Limousine & Paratransit Association and the National Limousine Association, was the driving force behind the formation of the GCLA.
Limousines by Linda is well known for the exception service it delivers and boasts many national limousine networks as clients.
