The Top 10 Bus Operators

Posted on July 1, 2001 by LCT Staff - Also by this author

Diversity is something that all operators should be considering when evaluating their fleets. Adding buses to an operation allows operators the opportunity to become flexible, and able to provide a greater variety of services for their customers. However, integrating your fleet can be a challenging task. It requires thorough planning and creating new marketing strategies. This is why we at LCT have decided to recognize those companies that have been successful at integrating buses into their fleets. We have ranked the nation's Top 10 operations with the largest number of buses in their fleets below.

Purpose The purpose of this listing is a further attempt by LCT to provide the limousine and chauffeured transportation industry with the most complete report of who's who in the country.

Methodology Surveys were mailed out to LCT subscribers in early April. Operators were required to authorize the LCT staff to verify the fleet sizes through the various insurers. In addition, randomly selected fleets were verified through state and/or local agencies. The resulting ranking is thus based on submitted and verified entries. The ranking is based solely on the number of buses a particular operator has in their particular fleet, and does not reflect the amount of revenue generated by an operator. For a complete listing, please see the July issue of LCT.
