NEWTOWN, Mass. — Weldon Worldwide Services of Newton, Mass. is offering free transportation to families affected by the Boston Marathon bombings.
“I just feel it’s the right thing to do," said Jerry Robbins, CEO of Weldon Worldwide. "There are so many people that need transportation, that are going to have to go to hospitals daily. There’s one mother who’s got two sons with legs amputated at two different hospitals. There’s just so many scenarios. I just think any company who does business in such a great community as Boston needs to step up and do the right thing.”
Weldon Worldwide is trying to get the word out that free service is available to families that need help getting to and from area hospitals. Ride information: Whitney McManama at (617) 365-8817 or [email protected]
The company has previously supported The Ellie Fund, a non-profit organization that aids breast cancer patients and their families, by providing transportation to and from treatment.
