Apollo Transportation Creates New Division Dedicated to Events

Posted on February 13, 2013

BOCA RATON, Fla. -- Apollo Transportation Services said Feb. 5 it has formed a new event driven division, called Evention, which helps clients handle the complexities of coordinating large events and corporate travel.

“Our performance over the past 12 months was energizing,” said Mauricio Urbina, vice-president of operations, in a press release. “We handled dozens of high profile corporate events in Orange County, California and road shows in Silicon Valley, and finished off with our presence at the Super Bowl. Handling these events gave us the opportunity to reevaluate the marketplace and our decision to form Evention. Evention was created to handle events such as these.”

With Apollo’s infrastructure, (technology, SOP Protocols, experienced staff), Evention will offer quick deployment of resources in the U.S. and abroad. “Our constant technological upgrades enable us to handle complex transportation requirements with speed, efficiency and comfort,” said Urbina. “We provided a seamless operational experience for the cross-country tour of Power Shares Tennis, which took us through 15 U.S. cities in less than six weeks this past fall, and recently for the CES convention in Las Vegas, for another high profile group of over 500.”

The new division incorporates the latest in real time logistical applications. It features a 24/7 portable call center to insure a constant flow of communications not dependent on one central location. Each vehicle has the latest GPS-based smart phone app that pinpoints exact location at all times, adding additional security and safety with every trip.

Founded in 1988, Apollo Transportation is a global ground transportation company providing an extensive fleet of Town cars, limousines and buses globally through its affiliate network (including hybrid "green friendly" options). Apollo Transportation is a 2011 LCT Operator of the Year Award winner.
