RICHMOND, VA — James River Bus Transportation recently underwent a rigorous inspection by the United States Department of Defense, receiving its second outstanding rating in two years.

The inspect ion is mandatory for all companies that transport military personnel, covered the company’s safety systems, maintenance, training and operational performance.

Both divisions of the company (covering sedans through motorcoaches) earned the coveted #1, “Outstanding” rating. This is the highest rating possible and has historically been achieved by only the top 10% of all inspected carriers (a #2 rating is considered “Excellent”). It is important to note that not all carriers even choose to submit to the Department of Defense inspections.
