Orlando Bus Company Named Motorcoach Operator Of The Year

SAINTE-CLAIRE, Quebec — Escot Bus Lines of Orlando, Fla. was named “Operator of the Year” during the 15th annual International Motorcoach Group Awards Banquet, sponsored by Prevost and Allison Transmissions at the Nicollet Pavilion in Minneapolis, Minn. The IMG Awards Banquet took place on Aug. 9.

The IMG Operator of the Year award honors a motorcoach operator who has exemplified community involvement, active IMG involvement and exceptional customer service. This year’s recipients, Brian Scott and sister Pam Scott Claxito, Escot Bus Lines president and vice president, respectively, accepted the award on behalf of their family-owned business. They called to the stage their father, Lou Scott, who founded the company with his wife Diane in 1983 with two minibuses.

Prevost vice president of new coach sales, Robert Goodnight, believes Escot’s “class of operation and willingness to go above and beyond to provide safe and quality services to their customer base” is what makes them a top notch organization and very deserving of the 15th annual IMG Operator of the Year award.

Escot Bus Lines operates a fleet of 16 transit buses and 45 motorcoaches. About one-third of Escot’s motorcoaches are Prevost, including their most recent additions of four H3-45s which are equipped with wheelchair lifts, three-point seatbelts and electronic destination signs. One of the new coaches was wrapped in graphics depicting Escot’s Florida market and Operator of the Year title.

The company has established a reputation for good service and clean equipment with an ultra-modern European style. It has been able to obtain and maintain long-standing relationships with several professional sports organizations, domestic and international tour operators, corporate accounts and universities.
