RANDOM LAKE, Wis. — Riteway Bus Service Inc., the parent company of GO Riteway, a chauffeured ground transportation service operating out of Oak Creek, Wis., purchased Degnitz Bus Service on Aug. 6. Degnitz served the Random Lake, Wis. School District. As government funding for transit projects has been stymied by deficits, opportunities have opened up for private operators to enter the market.

Ronald Bast, president of Riteway Bus Service Inc., said in a statement, “We look forward to welcoming the employees of Degnitz Bus Service into the Riteway Bus family and will continue providing the same quality service to the Random Lake School Districut that Degnitz Bus has been known for.”

The Degnitz management and drivers will continue their roles as part of the Riteway team.

GO Riteway has not yet responded to inquiries about the details of the deal. The article will be updated as more information arrives.
