CAROLINA, Puerto Rico — First Class Destination Solutions of San Juan, Puerto Rico signed in July a five-year exclusive transportation agreement with two five-star hotel properties scheduled to open in Puerto Rico this winter. The limousine service already is the in-house transportation provider for the St. Regis Bahia Beach Resort and will now serve the Condado Vanderbilt, which opens on Nov. 15, and the Dorado Beach Ritz Carlton Reserve, which opens on Dec. 12.
Roberto Rodriguez, co-owner of First Class, focuses on training his chauffeurs as concierges and ambassadors of Puerto Rico who understand how to serve high-end travelers. “We don’t have drivers; we have chauffeurs, and they make a simple transfer from point A to B an experience,” Rodriguez said.
In addition to concierge-level customer service, First Class boasts a fleet of high-end luxury vehicles that fit the image and needs of five-star properties. “When the economy was bad, there were opportunities to get great deals, so we took one of those opportunities and bought a Rolls-Royce Phantom in 2010 knowing about the Ritz Carlton Reserve project that was coming to Puerto Rico,” Rodriguez said.

The company’s fleet of 34 allows the hotels to offer their guests a wide-range of luxury vehicles that include a Rolls-Royce Phantom, Porsche Panamera, Audi A-8L, Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vans, and SUVs. Rodriguez said he just bought three Lincoln MKT stretch limousines from DaBryan with the new sedan-trunk conversion. He also plans to add 20 more vehicles to help accommodate the needs of the new hotel contracts.
