OREGON, Ohio — Ohio-based Transportation Equipment Sales Corporation (TESCO) expands its presence in the Michigan market with its recent acquisition of Michigan bus distributor Great Lakes Coach.
“We are looking forward to working together with[former Great Lakes Coach President and CEO] Gail Haithwaite and the others at Great Lakes Coach, while capitalizing on the Michigan market and the surrounding areas,” said Bud Graham, TESCO president.
TESCO was founded in 1937 and is one of the largest bus distributors in the nation, which an inventory spanning from small paratransit vans to full size coaches. Great Lakes Coach was founded in 1951 and is one of the Michigan area’s leading providers of specialty vehicles.
Dan Myrice, Jr. has been appointed as the regional manager of TESCO operations in Schoolcraft, Mich. Myrice has been with the company since 2006 and is “eager to help TESCO grow as a company and build upon the company’s presence in the Michigan market.”
