LONDON -- Tristar Worldwide Chauffeur Services has won a Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade in recognition of its outstanding export achievement.

The annual awards, made by the Queen on the advice of the Prime Minister, are the U.K.’s highest accolade for business success. They acknowledge U.K. companies and encourage the development of British business overseas. In order to win a Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade, a company has to show a substantial and sustained growth in overseas revenue over three consecutive years.

Established in 1978, Tristar is one of the UK’s largest chauffeur drive businesses with more than 500 vehicles, and is in the top 10 worldwide. Its overseas network extends to more than 80 countries and it has offices in London, Manchester, Paris, New York, Boston and Hong Kong. It's U.S. operations are based in Boston and headed by American executive Michael Fogarty.

Dean De Beer, CEO of Tristar Worldwide and a board director of the National Limousine Association, said in a statement: “We are extremely proud to have won this prestigious Award, which reflects the dedication and commitment of every one of the Tristar team and our service partners all over the world to ensure we deliver the highest level of service possible to our customers.”

“This comes at a very exciting time for us following our recent acquisition of M7 Worldwide Transportation in Boston, which effectively doubles our footprint in the USA and gives us a strong platform for further expansion in the US and South America," De Beer said. "At the same time we are exploring opportunities in a number of developing markets and continue to offer new services, such as the recent launch of our luxury chauffeur driven mini-coach service in the UK.”

Tristar Worldwide is also gearing up for the Summer Olympics as the company anticipates a strong demand for its high calibre chauffeur services  and ground handling logistics during this exciting time.

During the past year, Tristar has been active on many fronts in building its worldwide reach, as previously reported on LCTMag.com:
