Texas Operator’s Vehicles Meet Defense Department Standards

Posted on February 29, 2012

AUSTIN, Texas — Austin-based R&R Limousine & Bus has received certification by the Defense Travel Management Office as an official carrier in the Military Bus Program. The program ensures that commercial bus, van and limousine companies offering charter service provide safe vehicles that consistently meet Department of Defense-prescribed standards of service.

R&R Limousine & Bus is now able to offer ground transportation to all DOD travelers, from individual passengers to groups, including troop movement and recruitment travel requests. The company, whose fleet consists of over 70 vehicles ranging from sedans to motorcoaches, joins more than 400 carriers in the nationwide program.

“We are very proud of this certification,” said R&R owner Paul Arcediano. “It’s a rigorous process with the highest industry standards. Knowing that we are now officially qualified to transport our troops is one of the greatest honors we can have.”

The Defense Travel Management Office manages the program through an agreement with carriers that establishes specific terms, conditions and standards that must be met when providing transportation for DOD passengers.
