BETHLEHEM, Pa. — It has all the makings of a fairy tale: a white stretch limousine, Christmas lights all around, and even a Prince Charming in a tux. Gloria Quinn, a 90-year-old resident of Nazareth, Pa.’s Moravian Hall Square assisted living home, has had her lifetime dream come true thanks to Adamo Limousine of Allentown, Pa. Adamo donated the white stretch Lincoln Town Car and chauffeur to transport Mrs. Quinn to Bethlehem, known as the “Christmas City,” to enjoy its famed holiday lights.

The trip took place on Dec. 13, coinciding with Mrs. Quinn’s wedding anniversary date. Her husband passed away in 1975, so Quinn’s nursing director donned a tuxedo and became her date for the night.  Quinn, who has Alzheimer’s disease, wore a lilac ball gown and mink coat. She has been at Moravian Hall Square since November 2008.

Marlene Williamson, a Moravian Hall Square social worker, told The Express-Times that Quinn “had a smile I haven’t seen for a while” as the limo drove away.

Moravian Hall Square’s Wishbone Program contacted Anthony Onorata, COO of Adamo Limousine, to inquire about a donated ride, and he immediately said yes. “When the nurse called, I thought ‘We could absolutely do this,’” Onorata told LCT. “I really believe in giving back. I have a lot of be thankful for. I’m lucky to have a really good family and office staff.”

Adamo Limousine was founded in 1998 as a small family business and was taken over by Onorata and his business partner Randy Weston in 2003. They have expanded the company’s service beyond weddings and proms to include and focus on corporate transportation, being the first company to introduce the Lincoln Town Car Executive L to the Lehigh Valley region, which includes Allentown, Easton and Bethlehem. Their fleet has grown to 21 vehicles and includes SUVs, Town Cars, stretch limousines and a limo bus.

Onorata is active with the National Limousine Association and Philadelphia Regional Limousine Association, and has helped them battle the Philadelphia Parking Authority.

Onorata has recently added several Town Cars to his fleet — the first vehicle additions in a couple of years — and is disappointed by its retirement. “It’s what our clients have come to expect and they are also disappointed that it’s gone,” he said. After some rough times through the recession, Adamo Limousine’s business has picked up and Onorata attributes the company’s re-success to the excellence of his office and driving staff.
