NIAGARA-ON-THE-LAKE, Ontario — Niagara Classic Transport is offering clients a couple of cool new options this winter: the Niagara Rovers program and Auto Spa Niagara.

Niagara Rovers, which went live in December, boasts a fleet of civilian and retired-military Land Rovers imported from the U.K. It caters to clients with an affinity for adventure and offers several “Ultimate Wine Tour” packages as well as “The Canadian Land Rover Experience.”

The latter is an innovative team-building program for companies looking to equip their employees with “the necessary tools to deal with both conflict resolution and high-stress situations,” according to the program portfolio. The program will operate on the 260-acre Queenston Quarry.

“We operate in a seasonal market where spring, summer and fall are really strong,” said David Mole, Niagara Classic president. “Airport transfers go through the roof in the winter months, but the main retail fleet slows up, so we wanted to create a division specifically geared to the slower season, something purpose-built for the winter, so we created Niagara Rovers.”

The Niagara Rovers program will run year round with a focus on the winter months, where the Land Rovers can show what they’re capable of in the snow. The program will have its first “fan tour” — a familiarization tour with about 50 event planners from the U.S. and all across Canada — in January.

Niagara Classic also imports Land Rovers for sales to clients.

Auto Spa Niagara, also recently launched, offers clients complete cleaning and detailing services for their cars. Niagara Classic uses it for in-house detailing on its own vehicles and pays for its operation from the revenues driven by retail and commercial clients. Mole realized the potential of this additional service when he noticed the high number of high-end vehicles in town.

“Our 5-star partner, Vintage Hotels, will offer an auto spa package to its guests, so that when someone goes to valet their car, the hotel will offer a value add to have the car valeted at the auto spa, detailed, and brought back,” Mole said.
