Florida Operation Makes Client and Sales Gains In Resort Market

Posted on October 26, 2011

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — East Coast Limousine & Transportation, a limousine, charter and chauffeured transportation service provider in Northeast Florida, was selected as the exclusive provider for the Sawgrass Marriott Golf Resort and Spa.

With the addition of the Sawgrass Marriott Resort, East Coast is now the exclusive transportation provider for most of the premium resorts in Northeast Florida including the five diamond Ponte Vedra Inn & Club, Ponte Vedra Lodge & Club, One Ocean Resort Hotel & Spa and Renaissance Resort at World Golf Village.

East Coast Transportation will provide the corporate and leisure guests of the Sawgrass Marriott Golf Resort and Spa a full range of chauffeured transportation services including airport transportation to and from the resort, on property shuttles, bus charters for the Sawgrass Marriott Resort’s groups and transportation services for the resort’s event services.

East Coast Transportation, based in Jacksonville, was restarted in 2008 by the original ownership team, nine years after the original East Coast Transportation was bought by Carey Limousine International, which is based in Washington, D.C.

“We restarted the company in June of 2008, just in time for the bottom of the economic recession but the market was ready for our team to return and we have seen steady growth each year since,” said Greg Franks, managing member.

In 2010, East Coast’s sales were up 34% over the previous year and year-to-date 2011 sales are up 15%.
East Coast Transportation was the recipient of the 2011 Rose Award for Service Excellence by the North Florida Hotel and Lodging Association. The company serves North Florida and South Georgia and operates a fleet of new luxury sedans, SUVs, vans, stretch limousines, mini-coaches and motorcoaches. It also offers a full array of services ranging from airport transfers, airport "Meet & Greet" services, hotel departures, VIP services, charter vehicles, convention shuttles, restaurant dine-around services, sight-seeing tours, sailing and fishing charters.
East Coast Transportation is owned by Greg Franks, Mike Sobol and Ryan Saunders and is headquartered in Jacksonville, Fla.
