A Model Guide For Selling Prom Runs

Grand Avenue Chauffeured Transportation provides an example of how operators can help prom kids and parents choose the best transportation option for prom night.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — GRAND AVENUE CHAUFFEURED TRANSPORTATION, one of Nashville’s leading luxury transportation companies, wants to remind parents and teens to be vigilant when determining which transportation company to go with. The company has gotten its tips distributed online in digital media outlets.

Using a limo is the best choice when considering all the hazards of teen driving: drinking, speeding, cell phoning, and texting. With some due diligence and planning, prom clients can travel in style and security.

Potential clients should ask, and operators should promote and be ready to answer, the following questions:

Age: How old is the limousine being offered?

Capacity: What is the vehicle passenger capacity?

Price: What is included in the package price (gratuity)?

Paperwork: Will a written contract be prepared?

Legalities: Is the company fully licensed and insured?

See it: Would it be possible to view the vehicle?

Look for affiliations: A reputable provider will have relationships with industry governing bodies including the National Limousine Association or a state association. Companies also may be members of the local chamber of commerce or the Better Business Bureau.

Consider a bus: Large groups may be better off in a limo bus. These large limousine-style buses can house many more passengers than a standard stretch limousine.

Be aware of availability: This is simply a matter of supply and demand. Prom season competes closely with the early part of wedding season and vehicle availability can be limited. In most instances, it is a first come first serve basis. The only way to guarantee service, with the desired vehicle, is to reserve early and get everything in writing.
