Networking Picnic To Launch LCT Leadership Summit

The pre-conference afternoon event will give attendees a chance to mingle outdoors in Chicago’s most famous park.

CHICAGO — The 2010 LCT LEADERSHIP SUMMIT (Sept. 28-30) will get off to an active start at Peoples Park across from the Fairmont Chicago Millennium Park Hotel where the three-day retreat is being held.

The picnic will be held Tuesday, Sept. 28 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The group picnic for up to 200 operator attendees and vendor sponsors will include team-building activities and a chance to explore all that the attractions in Millennium Park: major pieces of public art, including Anish Kapoor's monumental Cloud Gate sculpture and the Jaume Plensa-designed interactive Crown Fountain; and spaces for quiet contemplation in the contemporary Lurie Garden.

Since its opening on July 16, 2004, millions of people have experienced Millennium Park’s amazing art and architecture and enjoyed the breathtaking gardens. Attendees will get maps to explore the park.

Following the picnic and park outing, the Summit will officially begin at 5 p.m. with a Platinum Reception and a dinner and comedy show at 7 p.m.

A highlight of this year’s 2010 LCT LEADERSHIP SUMMIT, in its ninth year, is free access and a guided tour of the BUSCON CONFERENCE & EXPO, being held during the same week at Chicago’s Navy Pier.
