LCT Magazine owner Ty Bobit will lead an introductory tour of BusCon, the top national trade show for mini-bus and motorcoach vendors.

CHICAGO — Operators attending the 2010 LCT LEADERSHIP SUMMIT will get a first-hand introduction to a show floor full of many of the types of buses and mini-buses being used by operators nationwide.

The third day of LCT’s Leadership Summit Sept. 28-30 will start off with a bus trip from the Fairmont Chicago Millennium Park Hotel to the BusCon trade show at the nearby Navy Pier.

Ty Bobit, CEO of Bobit Business Media and owner of LCT Magazine, will lead the expedition on Thursday, Sept. 30 at 9:30 a.m. and help orient Summit attendees to the show floor. Then, Summit participants will have free access to mingle with floor vendors and sample vehicles until 11:45 a.m. when buses will take attendees back to the Fairmont for the Summit’s keynote luncheon.

BusCon, sponsored by Metro Magazine, also owned by Bobit Business Media, has been held each year in Chicago for the last 15 years. It is considered America’s top trade show and convention for buses.

The growth in the bus market among operators during the last decade has paralleled client demand, which is oriented to roomier and more efficient ground transportation. The past also recession has accelerated interest among operators in buying more mini-buses, limo-buses, shuttles, and motorcoaches as clients look for transporting larger groups and less cost.
