California Operator Merges With Los Angeles Event Planner

BUSINESS SYNERGY: Mosaic Global of San Francisco joins with Pamela Ferarri Productions to offer clients a unique combination of chauffeured services and event management.

PALO ALTO, Calif. — The San Francisco Bay Area’s Mosaic Global Transportation and Los Angeles-based Pamela Ferrari Productions recently merged their companies to meet the needs of clients who need chauffeured vehicles and someone to plan all the details of an event.

“Mosaic is not entering into the meeting planner business or event management. We are offering a way to enhance the experience of ground transportation services,” said Maurice Brewster, president.

With clients asking them to do more than ever before, budgets being cut, and meeting planners and travel managers being restricted on travel for pre-planning purposes, Mosaic clients were asking the operator to help recommend venues, select restaurants, and plan events.

Brewster realized that while his staff is smart and versatile, they did not have the necessary expertise, time or experience to handle those types of queries. He contacted long-time colleague Pamela Ferrari in January. They met and discussed different ways to match their strengths in order for the merger to work.

“Since she is an entrepreneur, she already knew how to develop relationships and sell, so we coupled her event experience with some good old-fashioned ground transportation training and created the merger,” Brewster explained.

Mosaic Global Transportation has 15 vehicles in the Bay Area and they use affiliates and independent operators everywhere else in the U.S., including Los Angeles.

“It’s a ‘hand-in-glove’ fit. We've already experimented with two group events: a movement of 80 folks and a movement of 275 folks. The group move of 275 folks went off without a hitch and we now have a new client,” he added.

Serving the Bay Area since 1998, and providing worldwide service since 2003, Mosaic's fleet includes corporate limousines, motorcoaches, standard SUVs, executive vans, stretch limousines and vintage Rolls Royce vehicles. Transportation services range from airport ground transportation to private tours to concierge service.
