TORRANCE, Calif. — Each week, there seems to be a feedback flare-up on LimoCentric, the industry’s daily online forum, also known as the industry’s bulletin board pelted with paint balls. LCT encourages comments on the issues and debates facing the chauffeured transportation industry.
Here’s a sampler of questions and commentary from this week:
• On the ever-ferocious wages issue, LCT contributing editor Jim Luff hit a nerve reporting about Las Vegas company facing a tough fight on chauffeur and driver compensation.
• Linda Moore gets into middle school principal mode with the latest spat at the Florida Limousine Association, where infighting and insider-intrigue among leaders could further harm the industry group.
• Finally, the LCT editor considers one of the dumber questions facing operators. Can business travel be justified in a recession? Oh, please. What else would the answer be from not only the chauffeured and charter tour industries, but the travel, tourism, events, and hospitality industries?. . . (Let’s all stay home and only do business until the media says times are finally getting better?!)
