East Coast Transportation Acquires Second Company

Posted on May 20, 2009 by LCT Staff - Also by this author - About the author

JACKSONVILLE, FL — East Coast Transportation of North Florida has bought Executive VIP Limousine of Jacksonville. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Executive VIP Limousine has been serving the Jacksonville community for over 30 years, making it one of the oldest limousine companies in the area. Company owner Karen Henderson decided to sell the company in order to pursue other interests.

The acquisition makes the second one by East Coast Transportation which acquired Executive Transportation & Tours earlier this year. The company has grown at a fast rate since opening in June 2008 and is on pace to exceed $1 million in sales in its first 12 months.

East Coast has exclusive contracts with resort hotels, corporate accounts, and a growing number of affluent resident customers. The company has realized a 61% increase in sales over their first quarter and a 47% increase over their second quarter sales. During their first 10 months in business, East Coast has transported more than 18,000 people and run more than 4,600 trips.

East Coast Transportation is an upscale, full service chauffeured services company that focuses on the distinct needs associated with corporate, resort, and convention clientele. Owners Mike Sobol and Greg Franks possess over 35-years combined experience in the North Florida transportation market.

East Coast offers its clients a wide variety of new and late model vehicles, such as luxury sedans, Navigator SUVs, stretch limousines, executive vans, along with mini-buses and motorcoaches. Chauffeurs are carefully selected based on professionalism, experience, and customer service skills.

East Coast offers airport service between all regional airports and uses the latest software technology that enables customers to make their own reservations on-line anywhere, email reservation confirmation, “real-time” airline flight tracking, with 24-hour dispatching/information assistance.
