TORRANCE, Calif. — LCT Magazine has mailed out its annual Top 100 Fleets survey and made it available online for operators.
The list will rank the 100 largest operators out of an estimated 8,000-plus in the U.S. and Canadian chauffeured transportation industry as well as larger eligible operators abroad.
Like the Fact Book survey, the Top 100 Fleets survey provides another look at the state of the industry and fleet purchase and usage trends. This year, it also will help assess the effects of the economy on chauffeured transportation service and size. Operators can use the list as a guide to potential affiliates and networks with the most company owned and operated vehicles.
The survey bases fleet size on operator-owned vehicles, long-term leased vehicles, and vehicles that operate exclusively under one company. LCT must be able to verify fleet counts via updated insurance documentation that operator-participants agree in writing to provide upon request.
Any fleet counts that are misleading, unverifiable, or suspicious will be excluded from the list. Operators failing to provide adequate proof of fleet size will be disqualified.
